HEY EVERYONE! Visit our new webpage at

This is very important in the success of building a robot that is within all the requirements set forth by FIRST.

Robotics over the Centuries

The Viking Robotics Team meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month during club time at THS in Ms. Lilly's classroom #2435.  All students are welcome to join!  Building sessions will be after school hours from 6PM - 8PM from Monday to Thursday and 3PM - 5PM on Friday.  Students will design and build a 120 lb. robot to perform in a game-like challenge. Professional engingeers will work with students to accomplish this exciting task!  Students will attend a 3-day competition in February.

Team 4098 has achieved many               accomplishments since its                       commencement three years ago:
  •    When we attended First’s Kickoff day in 2015, we learned many new strategies and made new alliances with other teams.
  • We achieved a fully programmed and drivable robot within the first week of build season.
  • We have expanded our connections with the First community and with others through our newly improved media outreach and team promotions.
  • We are currently widening our involvement within our community and with those in need of help.
  • In our past years as a rising rookie team, we have built three fully functioning and partially autonomous, driving robots.
  • We sold 120 First Green e-watt saver light bulbs to raise money for our team and to promote clean electricity and energy efficiency within our community.
  • We took part in our school wide completion and distribution of Thanksgiving baskets for those in need.
  • We worked on an animation video to promote safety within the workplace and to encourage other teams and people to practice correct safety precautions.
  • We are currently helping to promote engineering by recruiting young high school women to participate in WomEngineers Day at the University of Tennessee.
