We’re excited to share that the Tennessee High School Beta Club has concluded its annual service fundraiser with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Student Series, previously known as Pennies for Patients. Over the course of this two-week fundraiser, $313.38 of change and small bills was donated through "pennies boxes" that were provided to teachers’ classrooms. Much of this is thanks to Jessica Dowty’s class donations, which totaled $73.01, and her students will soon receive a Beta-sponsored treat in our appreciation for their generosity. The giving spirit demonstrated by the THS family over the course of this drive reflects true “Viking Pride.”

Note: The LLS Student Series fundraiser is a national fundraising program that raises money to support the LLS mission of providing blood cancer research, as well as providing education and cancer patient services. The organization’s mission statement asserts that it, “exists to find curse and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients,” and the THS Beta Club was proud to sponsor this program once again.

Thank you, again, for your generosity and support!
