Final Grades for TNReady Courses Delayed
Posted On:
Friday, May 19, 2017

Schools will be closed on Monday, May 22. Students will report back to school on Tuesday, May 23, for report cards. Students should report at their regular start time. Students will be dismissed following report card pick-up. Buses will pick-up students on a regular schedule, and bus riders will be transported home immediately following report card pick-up.

The State Department of Education has notified the district that results from this spring’s TNReady testing will be delayed. As a result, grades cannot be calculated before Tuesday, May 23, the date students are scheduled to pick up report cards. Therefore, the subject areas affected by the TNReady tests will temporarily be recorded as Incomplete on student report cards. This impacts students in grades 3-8 language arts, math, and science, as well as high school students enrolled in courses which include End of Course exams.

We anticipate the scores from the state prior to the end of May. As soon as grades have been updated in PowerSchool, we will notify parents via a School Messenger phone call so they can view the final course grade in PowerSchool or contact the school to arrange a time to pick up a revised report card.
